Time for a Ceasefire

With over 38,000 Palestinians killed in the offensive being backed by right-wing extremists in the Israeli government since October 2023 it is urgent that a bilateral ceasefire is called immediately.

Liberal Democrat campaigner Arran Angus said, “We need a ceasefire to stop the bloodshed and the continued trauma of both the Palestinian and Israeli peoples. The Labour government must start by recognising the Palestinian state as a first step towards a two-state solution.”

Liberal Democrats will continue calling for sanctions on Israeli ministers pushing for more settlements as well funding for UNRWA. We give our full support to all ICJ and ICC rulings.

Only sustained political and diplomatic work will lead to a resolution of this conflict creating lasting peace.
