Thank you to everyone who voted for our local Liberal Democrat candidates in the general election.

While we still have a two Labour MPs and one Conservative MP in Waltham Forest, Liberal Democrats achieved their best nationwide result in the party’s history.

Ed Davey’s light-hearted campaign with a serious message behind it has returned a record 72 Lib Dem MPs. Issues of sewage dumping, the NHS, crime and the cost of living have resonated with voters let down by years of Conservative rule.

We now look forward to seeing what our MPs achieve in Parliament over the coming months. Locally, Waltham Forest Lib Dems will work with Lib Dem MPs to help them be a voice for our community and fight for a fair deal for local residents.
