More Flights, More Noise, More Pollution

The Labour government has upheld City Airport's appeal, allowing an increase in passenger numbers and more early morning flights.

This means City Airport can now increase their annual passengers from 6.3 million to 9 million by 2031, and operate three additional flights before 7am on weekdays.

Local Liberal Democrat Campaigner Naomi McCarthy said, “For those living under the flight path, not only does it cause stress and affect health, it adds to London's already polluted skies.” We want to know how local people feel about this decision.

Note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that there would be an increase in the number of weekend flights. This is not the case and we apologise for any confusion.
